DRAFT NATIONAL APPEAL REGULATIONS

MacRobert wishes to draw your attention to the following important notice published

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, under section 44(1)(a) read with section 43(4) of the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998 ("NEMA"), given notice of her intention to make regulations pertaining to the processing, consideration of and decision on appeals.

These regulations will be applicable to a decision that is subject to an appeal to the Minister or MEC in terms of the NEMA, National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act 10 of 2004 and the National Environmental Management: Waste Act 59 of 2008.

Members of the public are invited to submit written comments on the regulations to the Minister within 30 days of publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 22 September 2014).
